Very good for pre-running that way i can find a route that will get me my desired miles. Love the different views of map or 3d. Would be better if it could trace a road. Also s/o to Jim Parsons, very good in the Big Bang Theorey! I like the magic trick episode! :)

Like the other reviewer said, its a nice tool for planning jogging routes. I travel a lot, so when Im in an unfamiliar city this app helps me figure out the mileage before I set out for a run.

I found my old high school football field. Zoomed in and marked the corners. The result was 1.34 acres. Official size is 1.32 acres. Pretty good for such a small size on google maps. I do wish the dropping of marker was offset, hard to place something directly under your finger!

This app is very useful and works great. I agree with another review tho, dropping the pins is kinda difficult to be accurate. I guess it does give u a estimate tho. Great job. Also, one review said it needed gps location, well it does have it... Its just kinda hidden. Hit the top right arrow icon (the one that is 99.9 % of the time reserved for emailing or tweeting.) then toggle the gps location.

Im blown away on how great this mapping tool functions. Very easy and straight forward. As a civil engineer having to visit the job site with clients, this app is incredibly useful. Love the multi units option and the email capability as well. Well worth it!

This is pretty darn accurate, thanks!!! An awesome tool for us surveyors, not having to visit and depend on the various county Gis websites, which arent very friendly to iPads, and I hope (if its not already implemented) to be able to search by address in a future update...

This is terrific App! I searched the App Store for something to measure distances on maps so I could accurately and easily measure my exercise routes on streets and trails (all terrain) and am delighted every time I use this App. Way beyond my expectation, I also got the ability to easily measure areas and to select whatever distance and area units I like. All this with the choices of satellite, map, hybrid.

Great quick app but the gps location should be turned in by default when the app loads the first time. I had no idea you could see your gps location until much later. Secondly, the distance results Im getting ate slightly longer than measurements from Google Earth on a laptop by at least 5% so might want to double check the calculation algorithm which hopefully is taking into account that distance between longitude points is different depending on your latitude. Also, no indication if measurement between extreme distance is along earth curve or through the earth straight line. Does what it says.

This superb app was ruined by the justifiably maligned Apple maps app in iOS 6. The satellite view resolution at maximum zoom is now inadequate for precision better than about 10 feet (at least at my house … perhaps 10 miles or more in some parts of the world). The developer deserves five stars for their brilliant implementation and Apple deserves zero stars for ineptitude.

I loved this app priced to the apple map update. I used this every day for my business. Now maximum zoom is a fraction of what google maps was. It is impossible to measure a yard with any accuracy at all. I hope an update comes soon that fixes this issue, until then the value of this app has dropped significantly

Since iOS6, search and current location does not work. Zoom level is now inadequate for smaller parcels. Disappointed, because this was a great app.

Cannot use with ios6. Is there a fix coming out?

I dont mean to be cruel, but the title if this review says it all. Theres nothing more to say. It doesnt work. End of story. Would like my 2 bucks back, please.

Just as some of the reviewers here are saying. Some areas dont have a good enough satellite photo resolution to actually take a measurement. This may be in part because of Apples new maps, but since I payed for this app I expect it to be fixed, and nothing has been done about the matter.

I use this app to estimate how many acres I have left in a field. I can see enough detail to be with in a couple acres which is great for what I need. Well worth my money

Lacks features that would make it easier to use. If everything people wanted to measure had only straight lines, then this app would be great, but life is not that simple. Having a feature that allowed you to trace a line with your finger makes things so much easier and much faster. Dropping a ton of pins looks painfully slow.

Unlike stupid other apps this one was very easy to use and straight to the point. I tried 6 others until I found this one. Nice job!!!

Maps outdated at least 6 years old other than that very simple to use

Type in address and press search, does nothing. Very dissapointed. Would be nice to GET MY MONEY BACK!

Worked well when I first got it, now measurements are entirely incorrect (not even close!)
